BUILDINGS / MACHINERY – CUMBRIA, UK

History:

No History Available.

Driving through the Cumbrian countryside we discovered a disused scrap yard with a great collection of old mining machinery and carts, we had a great day exploring the surrounding area too !  We then continued driving to Teesdale and found a derelict building up on the moors that had some farm machinery stored there, part of the building must have once being a dwelling as inside there was a bricked up fireplace, further up the moors we discovered a little stream complete with a tiny stone arched bridge and as we turned the corner a beautiful waterfall came in to view, a really serene, calm and relaxing place  !  We stayed until nightfall and started making our way back to the car, the weather started to rain heavy and thunder and lightening wasn’t far behind, making our way through the darkness wasn’t an easy task, feeling our way through tall head height bracken, climbing steep water logged hills and sliding down muddy slopes but it was one of our most fun experiences !!
